Your Love Is Strong – Jon Foreman

Heavenly Father
You always amaze me
Let your kingdom come
In my world and in my life
You give me the food I need
To live through the day
And forgive me as I forgive
The people that wronged me
Lead me far from temptation
Deliver me from the evil one

I look out the window
The birds are composing
Not a note is out of tune
Or out of place
I look at the meadow
And stare at the flowers
Better dressed than any girl
On her wedding day

So why do I worry?
Why do I freak out?
God knows what I need
You know what I need

Chorus (3x):
Your love is
Your love is
Your love is strong

The kingdom of the heavens
Is now advancing
Invade my heart
Invade this broken town
The kingdom of the heavens
Is buried treasure
Will you sell yourself
To buy the one you’ve found?

Two things you told me
That you are strong
And you love me
Yes, you love me

(Chorus 3x)

Our God in heaven
Hallowed be
Thy name above all names
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us wicked sinners
Lead us far away from our vices
And deliver us from these prisons

its amazing how music can make one feel happy, sad, nostalgic and even angsty.
i’m currently enjoying the songs from John Mayer’s album Continuum. the bluesy vibe makes me break out in dance.

i love studying psychology and love seeing how it can be used practically. having koko as a main subject that i’m writing about in my recent essay heps me appreciate him more :D

the first semester of my uni life is coming to a close. this semester was filled with much spiritual growth, and yet a bit of moving backward. i doubted myself and God during this period, was intimidated by fear and the need for acceptance, embraced studying and stretching, relived old thought patterns, but in the end, just want things to go how God wills it.

i see that i need to play an active role in everything. most importantly, i must run after God.
this speaks to me a lot:
Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 This is what the LORD says:
“Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches,

24 but let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the LORD.

to know God more and to boast in Him.
to be utterly honest.

Psalm 63:1-3 (NIV)
O God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.

The Heart Of Life – John Mayer Cover

I hate to see you cry
Laying there in that position
There’s things you need to hear
So turn off your tears and listen

Pain throws you heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No, it won’t all go away, it should
But I know the heart of life is good

You know it’s nothing new
Bad news never had good timing
But then the circle of your firends
Will defend the silver lining

Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No, it won’t all go away, it should
But I know the heart of life is good

Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
Fear is a friend who’s misunderstood
But I know the heart of life is good

I know it’s good
